Officials Mark the Near-Completion of Main Street Improvements

Several state and federal elected officials gathered in Milford Tuesday to mark the expected completion of the $3.2 million Route 16 intersection and Main Street improvements.

Officials marked the near-completion of the on Tuesday, a $3.2 million state project that included federal stimulus funds.

On hand were U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy III, who now represents Milford, as well as U.S. Rep. Richard Neal, Milford's longtime representative in Congress, whose district was changed last year to focus on Western Massachusetts.

State Rep. John Fernandes (D-Milford) and state Sen. Richard Moore (D-Uxbridge) also attended.
