Milford Housing Values Among Steepest Declines in MA

Most Milford homeowners saw a drop in value last year, and over the past several years since the peak of the market. How far? According to a Boston.com post, Milford was among 20 communities in eastern MA with the steepest decline.

Did Milford home values bottom out in 2012?

The average house in Milford fell to $262,841 last year. This value dropped about 1.68 percent. Every type of property in Milford fell last year, except triple-family structures.

This was one of the reasons the tax rate rose.

A recent Boston.com analysis, of property values in eastern Massachusetts communities, shows how far Milford dropped over the past six years, since the peak of the real estate market.

Boston.com found Milford was among the 20 communities with the steepest drops in value. Milford came in at No. 14, with a six-year, 23.72 percent decline in value.

Other towns on the list: Hudson, Carver, Wareham, Brockton and Middleborough.

I believe the reason Milford's housing values have declined so much is because of the enormous influx of illegal aliens and the crime that goes with them.

Why would people want to come here now? The traffic is bad, the town has so many empty buildings, litter everywhere, plenty of crime, plenty of illegal immigrants and their issues.

The Illegals are paying rent to the legal landlords keeping the legal slumlords from loosing their properties. The legal renters ARENT paying their own rent WE the tax payers are Paying for the LEGAL LAZY AMERICANS that are ABLE to work but REFUSE to work . I rather see illegals in Milford then the Amercan drug dealers, addicts an criminals. Thank you .
