Milford firefighters responded to Congress Street about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, where a man had fallen from stairs accessing the rooftop.

He appeared to escape serious injury. Police reported that the man had been climbing the stairs to try to get inside the home, having locked himself out.

According to Milford Fire Department Lt. Michael Ballou, the man received hand lacerations and was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester as a precaution.
