Did You See the East Coast Meteor?
People from New Hampshire to Washington, DC, including some in Milford, reported seeing a fireball about 8 p.m. Friday night.
Several hundred people on the East Coast reported seeing what looked like a meteor streaking across the sky Friday night, according to an Associated Press report.
A few people in Milford said they saw it too, about 8 p.m. Some witnesses described it as green and sparkly, or a silent, bright flash, and lasting just a few seconds. Others said it was dull yellow. A surveillance camera in Maryland captured the event, and the footage is now on YouTube.
The American Meteor Society website had 350 on its website, according to AP.
