5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 3

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing Friday on regulations for the Phase 2 applications for resort casinos.

1. to get public reaction and comment on regulations for the Phase 2 applications for resort casino licenses. The public hearing will be simulcast and carried out at three locations, including in Marlboro. It also will be livestreamed on www.massgaming.com.

2. The Milford High School Class of 2015 is holding a fundraising auction at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hoboken Citizen's Club. A live and silent auction will be featured. Items at the auction include Red Sox tickets, a dinner for eight prepared by chef Carla Tuttle, a Bose Wave Radio III, and an iPad.

3. The Network of Enterprising Women invites business women in MetroWest to a Speed Networking meeting Monday from 8:15 to 10 a.m. The location is Faith Community Church, 146 E. Main St., Hopkinton. For more information, go to www.networkofenterprisingwomen.com 

4. Interested in container gardening? At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Betty Sanders presents “Going to Pots” at Milford Town Library, demonstrating how to assemble beautiful floral pots to brighten and beautify summer patios, terraces, gardens. The five arrangements she creates will be raffled at the end of the program.

5. A "Bottle and Can Drive" to benefit the Milford High School Best Buddies program will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Milford Redemption Center, 119 East Main St.
