Memorial Elementary School’s second graders recently went on the “The Adventures of George C. Shaw, THE QUEST FOR THE HEALTHY PYRAMID” at Shaw’s Supermarket.  All classes participated in the trip that taught the ‘fundamentals of healthy eating and good nutrition, in a fun, new way, while encouraging children to read and dream.”  The experience also reinforced skills the students had learned in school lessons based on the USDA’s food pyramid.  Shown here from left to right are: Joseline Rosario, Elizabeth Vaz, Julia Sparkes, Madeline Austin and Gabriella Inacio in the background.
