Kathleen M. (Fleming) Lowell, 87, of Milford, died Mon., April 25, at St. Camillus Health Center in Northbridge after a period of declining health. She was the wife of Wallace F. Lowell Jr. 

She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Sprague) Fleming, and graduated from Somerville High School. 

Mrs. Lowell worked 12 years at Star Market in Milford and Franklin and then worked at Iandoli’s Market, which later became Shaw’s Markets. She was a member of the R.S.V.P. Club in Missoula, Mont.

Besides her husband of 68 years, she leaves three sons, Kenneth Lowell of Murray, Utah, Gary Lowell of Simpsonville, S.C., and Brian Lowell of Colfax, Calif.; two daughters, Dorothy Shaw of Simpsonville and Kathleen Dupras of Milford; eight grandchildren, John Shaw, Amy Cresanti, Michael Dupras, Melanie Bourque, Jessica Lowell, Meagan Nielsen, Erin Lowell and Jeremy Lowell; five great-grandchildren, Hayden Cresanti, Lauren Cresanti, Amanda Cresanti, Samuel Yasharian and Oliver Yasharian; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mark Lowell, who died in 1996, and the sister of the late Robert Fleming, Donald Fleming, Richard Fleming and Dorothy Schwarz. 

Her funeral will be held Fri., April 29, at 12 noon at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St. Committal services will follow at 2:15 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A visiting hour will be held Fri., April 29, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
