UPDATED: Flash is Found

UPDATED: Flash the Basset Hound was found by her family on Thursday, in the wooded area near the Milford Upper Charles Trail, off Sumner Street. She's now at the vet.

UPDATED: Fliers have been distributed all across Milford, but Flash is still missing.

She was last seen about 9 a.m. Monday, on Purchase Street near the Purchase Street Market.

A Milford Patch reader said he saw her that morning, too, on Purchase near Fells Avenue, walking on a sidewalk toward downtown.

Original Post:

Flash is an older Basset Hound who has been missing since 8 a.m. Monday. She is 13.

The old girl was last seen near Purchase Street Market.

She is brown, black and white, and has freckles on her feet. She is missed by her family, especially the little girls.

If she is seen please contact Stacy @ 508.244.8956 or Dave @ 508.244.7767.

Have you contacted the local Animal Control, vets, shelters, rescues, etc? They all have a vast network that can help to locate this gal. Also, posting on Facebook might work. Any local people hopefully will keep an eye out for her as well. At her age, she shouldn't be out in the cold so hoping she has found some shelter of some sort.

I am from milford and am out all the time. I will keep an eye out for Flash. I hate seeing any animal out in the cold when it should be home safe. Please, if you have any other pets or if anyone else has pets that need to go out side get them micro chipped. It would be easier if they are found and brought to a shelter, for people to contact you so you can go get ur pet

The animal control offices now have a system that's like an Amber Alert they can use to help spread the word. Also, call Baypath Humane in Hopkinton, as people sometimes drop off stray or lost animals there. If her collar came off they might assume she doesn't have a home.

I will say that an older Basset Hound with freckles is a pretty good description! She would be easily spotted!

So glad that Flash has been found - hopefully everything checks out for her. Bet she's tired out after being gone so long and especially at her age!
