Community Use Announces Adult Ed Programs

  • August 22, 2012

There are many classes and workshops offered in the areas of Arts and Crafts, Hobbies, Business, Boating, Computers, Dance, Financial, Fitness, Food and Drink, GED, Health, Language, and Sports. The complete list of classes may be found on the Milford Community Program website at www.milford.ma.us/mcs under Adult Fall.

Registrations will be accepted immediately, by mail or in person, daily at the Community Program Office at Milford High School between the hours of 8:30AM and 3:30PM.

Registration is on a first-come/first-serve basis.  Courses are open to individuals 18 years of age and older.  Nonresidents are welcome.  Notification of acceptance will not be sent.  Persons who register should simply report on the first night unless they are notified that a course has been cancelled or filled early.  Once registered, no one will be allowed to transfer to another class.  No refunds or credit will be given for classes not attended.  Refunds will be made only if a course is cancelled or filled.

A separate registration form and a separate check are required for each course.  Fees are included in each course description for residents and nonresidents.  Senior Citizens (65 and older) pay 20% discount of fee listed.  Checks should be made payable to the MILFORD COMMUNITY PROGRAM.  Mail to:  Milford Community School Use Program, c/o Milford High School, 31 West Fountain St., Milford, MA 01757.

Individuals paying in person with cash are asked to have the correct amount.  Students will provide materials used in class.  Information regarding these materials, except where stated in the course description, will be given at the first class.  If a book is required for use in class, provisions should be made to purchase the book at the first class.  Approximate cost of books is listed in the course description.

Adult Education classes will not be held when regular day school classes are cancelled or on holidays.  Adult Ed classes will not be held in the event of inclement weather.  Participants are asked to listen to WMRC (1490 AM) radio for cancellation notices.  Cancellations and updates are posted on the message board of our website at www.milford.ma.us/mcs.  Additionally, if you would like to receive emails on our programs throughout the year go to our website and join our mailing list.
