The Milford Community Program will offer Athletic Based Training’s Speed, Agility and Quickness Camp to help students in grades 5 through 8 get quicker, faster and prepared for any sport you play!
This camp focuses on sharpening the skills that are so vital to sports performance. Athletes will learn the proper mechanics in acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and game speed, as well as learn how to apply these skills to your sport. Sessions will be broken down into proper running form, first step explosion, lateral quickness, reaction, and conditioning. Also included will be injury prevention training, balance, coordination, dynamic warm-ups, flexibility and core training. The ABT staff has over 20 years of experience coaching and working with kids in the fitness and sports industry, and has spent many hours with the top speed coaches in the country.
The program will begin on Tuesday, October 2, and run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for 7 weeks until November 13. It will be held at the Milford Middle School East Gym. Cost is $80 for Milford residents and $90 for non-residents. Early registration is recommended since this program fills quickly!
